“I always strive to be in the top 10 percent in everything that I do. That dedication to excellence allowed me to prosper in medical school and get a position in the most competitive surgical specialty. I will do my best to treat you the same as I would treat a member of my own family, and I will use the eye of an artist to work toward your aesthetic goals.”
I was born in a small town in Kansas and lived in Kansas City as a child. I went to high school in Kentucky and then graduated as class president with honors from UTC. I worked as a nurse and put my wife through nurse practitioner school and then I graduated with high honors from UK medical school. I was selected from a highly competitive group of applicants and then I completed a prestigious six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at UM. I repeatedly scored in the top 10 percent of the nation on my inservice exams and licensing exams. I got married around 20 years ago, and I have two young children who I love to spend time with. I chose to practice in the midwest even though I had job offers in LA, West Palm Beach and Texas. I chose the midwest because I wanted to have more time to spend with my kids and raise my children in the same hard-working, honest environment that I was raised in. I have been here in the North Kansas City and St. Joseph area for a number of years and have been very fortunate to develop an extremely busy practice based primarily on referrals from happy patients.
